A member asked:

If i don't take my pill right on the dot of the hour like sometimes an hour before or a few hours late is that okay?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Medication dosing: For most medications, taking them at approximately the same time every day is ideal, but you don't have to be perfectly on time. If you mean oral contraceptive pills specifically, then you should try to take them within an hour or two if possible. This is especially true for the progesterone only type of pill. The combination pills are not as strict. Try setting an alarm if you can't remember.
