No fixed formula.: Sounds like you're worried about this. Anemia can cause a fast heart rate, but I don't think there's any correlation of the heart rate with the hemoglobin level (except at the extreme low end -- i.e., hemorrhage) because different people respond to anemia differently & have varying levels of fitness. (Those more fit can tolerate more anemia without tachycardia). Normal RESTING heart rate is 60-100
