Won't be too bad!: He'll first remove any sutures holding the drain in place - usually there's only one or two of them. Then he'll quickly but carefully pull the drain out. It will feel more like an odd sensation than a painful feeling. Most people find drain removal to be uncomfortable; however, it's typically doesn't hurt. And it is over fast!
