Multiple causes: Fever for 1 month without a clear cause fall under the umbrella term Fever of Unknown Origin. The evaluation requires in depth history and thorough physical. Other required tests and procedures will be at the discretion of your pediatrician. An accurate account of your child's history to include travel, exposures, other symptoms and any treatment before / since fever will be invaluable to your MD.

Fever: An infection or inflammatory disease. Record it to see if there is a pattern. Also make note of other symptoms. Sometimes a persistent strep throat can do this. All the best.
