Endoscopy?: did you have an endoscopy? mucosa is the name for the first layer of hollow organs like the nostrils, the airways, the guts, that come into contact with the outside world, so named because they secret mucus. So normal mucosa means that layer is normal. Polyp is the name we give to any extra tissue hanging from mucosa. Polyps can be either harmless or harmful. Usually a biopsy can tell difference.
