One or many?: If this is from a single lesion, then it may just be a pimple-like issue. If there are multiple lesions especially if the pubic area is also involved, then this an inflammatory issue of the hair follicles. Sometimes regular use of an antiperspirant would help others may need regular intake of an antibiotic. See dermatologist if lesions are persistent.
