Been evaluated?: Don't know your age, gender; location, qualities of pain; associated symptoms, weight loss, anemia, etc. A year's worth of pain could signify some serious issues (or not). It might be worthwhile to get some basic testing done, e.g. Bloods, maybe sono, or other radiology, endoscopy, colonoscopy, gyn, if appropriate. Can always consider a second opinion if you feel it's not taken seriously.
