I was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis couple of year back. medicine prescribed by doctor hardly helped. itchiness gradually disappear with time. i was free from itch for over a year. now since a month back my lower abdomen is very itchy. pl advice

Mgt: Use a combination of skin cream, hydrocortisone and an anti histamine as needed. This should be continued for a few weeks. Oatmeal baths can also help.

Revisit diagnosis: Topical steroid creams usually help in conjunction with anti-histaminic. You should get back to confirm, that there are no other systemic causes for the dermatitis.
