A member asked:

Are there any bacteria that augmentin could work better against in the testicles that cipro (ciprofloxacin) wouldn't work at all or/well against?

Probably neither one: The most common infection involving the testicles is epididymitis. At your age (22) most cases are caused by chlamydia or gonorrhea, and neither ciprofloxacin nor augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is reliable against either of them. If it's something else, or epididymitis cause by urinary tract infection bacteria, either may work but cipro probably is more reliable than augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate). I hope you're under a doctor's care.
