Wrist joint lump?: If near or at your wrist it is likely a synovial cyst or "ganglion." It is a piece of joint lining that is growing & making joint fluid that forms in a hard lump from a joint where it starts. Unfortunately, the only Rx that may be permanent is surgical with careful attention to removing the stalk between the cyst and the joint. Hitting it can break the cyst but it only reforms larger.
