May be broken: Sounds like hard fall! Bruisung, swelling and loss ig function with pain should be evaluated by Doc. You neef X - ray to role out broken bone. in tje meantime " RICE"= REST, ICE, ELEVATION . Ok to use elartic wrap and sling. Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin for pain if neede.
