A member asked:

What's the doctor's recommendation to help my brother deal with the suicide death of his son?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dealing with suicide: Takes lots of talking, listening & supporting. Any death of a child is extremely difficult. Suicide brings additional questions & emotions, especially guilt, regret & anger. Accept any feelings your brother may have. Know that grief is very individual, can't be rushed & shouldn't be avoided. Encourage professional help & support groups. Don't neglect your own needs while helping him.
