Jelly normally safe: It is certainly not a scientific fact that eating jelly leads to cough. Actually, there is no link between jelly and coughing. If you find yourself always coughing after eating jelly I'd be curious if there is in fact something in the ingredients that you are allergic to - if you are wheezing or coughing you should be evaluated and determine if you have an allergy and should be avoiding a food.

No: Although in rare instances, some people may cough when drinking cold beverages.
