Here's the facts: "Connective tissue disorder" is an archaic term for a group of systemic illnesses including lupus, scleroderma, dermatomyositis and maybe rheumatoid arthritis. Neither has anything to do with hyper-mobile joints, which are more likely caused by mild variants of Ehlers-Danlos or simply genetic hyperextensible joints ("double-jointed"), an autosomal dominant probem with no need to treat.
