I have a little swollen area on the right above my hip, i can move it around a bit, is this serious?

Movable lump: This may be a lipoma which is a benign fatty tissue tumor and,because its moveable, it isn't a boney growth. However it would have to be examined by a physician to be sure and also to advise you whether it should be removed if it's in an area where constant irritation may occur.
