Sudden & severe: Those words require ACTION. If an immediate appointment is impossible, go to urgent care or n ER. If he did nothing unusual recently to cause injury, they'll do tests and provide pain relief as possible till they can discover a cause. Don't wait - it could be helpful to nip it in the bud!
