Probably: An epidural steroid injection is just one of many potential options in treatment for disc Herniations in the cervical and lumbar spine. But epidural steroid injections are pretty specific, delivering the medication ideally right where it needs to go; as such, an epidural steroid injection in the back will not typically help a herniation in the neck and so you would likely need two injections.
