Power in thoughts: If you know it is unreasonable fear tell your self that. Make a list of reasons you know the thought is not true and continue to tell yourself them over and over. You can see a therapist for other interventions or a doctor for a scan.

Agoraphobia-get help: Extreme anxiety that prevents one from leaving their home is known as agoraphobia. If you have suffered a heart attack (MI) or cardiac arrest, you have good reason to be fearful re your health. The best way to reassure yourself re a tumor is to get a medical exam, with blood tests, CT or MRI scans, and any necessary tests. Call a psychologist who uses CBT therapy to treat your anxiety first.

Phobia: One suggestion would be to make an appointment with a Doctor, then ask a friend or family member to go to the doctor with you so you don't have to leave the house by yourself. It is better to find out and if you have a problem to get treatment as soon as possible.

The not leaving the: house part---is that agoraphobia? You need a medical screen to eliminate any questions about tumors, but if you cannot leave the house, then the first problem is probably anxiety. Have you considered a video counseling session with a psychologist? Lots are available on Healthttap.

EVAL: Provided a tumor has been completely ruled out, get a psychiatric evaluation for OCD symptomology and severity, and possible medication management. Then get a referral to a reputable clinician who specializes in OCD.
