Resistant bacteria?: Symptoms should have improved with 3 days of treatment and certainly should not be getting worse. Your urinary tract infection probably is caused by a bacteria resistant to your antibiotic. Immediately contact the doctor or clinic treating you; they'll probably prescribe something else. In the meantime, drink lots of fluids and ask your chemist about phenazopyridine, which will ease discomfort.
