Inflammation: The bone marrow usually has a consistent appearance on an MRI or ct scan. A marrow stress reaction in conjunction with sacroilitis basically means that as you look at the appearance of the marrow as you get close to the sacroiliac joints, it becomes much denser. This is usually associated with an inflammatory and/or arthritic problem in your SI joints. Discuss this with your doctor.
