Not much: This will have the primary effect of one dose but will cause no harm or problems. Simply a wasted extra pill.

Lunesta (eszopiclone) while flying: Hypnotic meds can be useful on long flights, but there are caveats 1) Never take a medication for the first time on the plane. Adverse reactions happen. Better that they happen on the ground. 2) Take a low dose. While the idea may be appealing, it is not safe to be sedated so much that emergency responses are not possible. 3mg is a high dose for Lunesta; 1mg would be a better choice.

No: These meds have similar use and taking them together could be too sedating. Do not take together!!!

A 24-year-old female asked:

Can i eat before/after i take lunesta (eszopiclone)?

Recommend no: For a few reasons i recommend no. 1) people have fallen asleep very quickly and aspirated (choked on) food and 2) works better without food in stomach, faster absorption.
