See dentist: If you have tobacco stains, you need to see a dentist to have them removed and to check for oral cancer. Smokers & alcoholics have a much greater risk for oral cancer and april is oral cancer awareness month.

See your dentist: Tobacco stains are generaly hard to remove without professional help. Once removed, continued cleaning with a toothpaste like arm & hammer baking soda toothpaste should help to minimize the addition of more stains. More importantly, try to stop smoking.

Not self remedy: You really need a professional cleaning to remove the nicotine and tars on your teeth. Once removed, make sure you brush at least 2x/day a full 2 minutes by the clock each time, and clean between teeth w floss or water pik daily. Most important, please see your md/do for help to stop smoking. Lung or oral cancers are not pretty.

Stop, then see DDS: 1st stop smoking. I have personally seen lungs on a cadaver who smoked & it looks like someone crumbled charcoal on them. Having said that, you can try using a more abrasive toothpaste, but only short term as long term use will wear away your teeth prematurely. Best bet is to have them professionally cleaned by your dentist. Then you will have to not smoke or you'll be back where you started.
