Coridian hbp is the only cold and cough medication i have in the house right now. can i give this to my 8 year old?

Yes but...: if it is day and night, you can give the day pill one pill 2-3 times a day. the night pill acetaminophen dose may be too strong, but wont hurt if given once. However, best to avoid these things for kids. I give acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever, pain, zyrtec (cetirizine) for runny nose, honey/lemon tea for cough. Rumor has it rubbing vicks on soles of feet then wearing socks helps cough.
