Give it time: They put gas inside your abdomen but outside your intestines when they do a lap appy. You can't pass the gas, it has to slowly reabsorb. As long as you are having bowel movements daily and have no pain in your abdomen, this should get better with time. I am sure you have a follow-up appointment with your surgeon, have him/her examine you.
