Possibly: Slow gastric emptying is associated with constipation. Slow gastric emptying is associated with gastroesophageal reflux. Omeprazole (prilosec) or proton pump inhibitor helps control acid but does not affect gastric emptying. Constipation can also increase abdominal pressure and in turn reflux. Side effect of Omeprazole also is constipation.
