Constipation: Switching to protonix instead of nexium (esomeprazole) may stimulate your bowels. Taking zantac at the same time is unnecessary. To promote bowel movements drink adequate fluids including hot water((not too hot), include fiber in your diet and try a daily dose of senokot as a stimulant. A gastroenterologist is best qualified to evaluate and treat you.
