Speak to your: child's doctor about this. I would probably recommend a hearing and speech and language and developmental evaluation if he were my patient.

Yes: By 2 your kid should have use of 25+ words and link use them for expressing simple ideas, like "go outside".There are a variety of issues that can contribute to delays in speech.Your doc can do a simple hearing test and refer you for an evaluation by a speech and language specialist who can help sort them out.
