STD testing: I recommend STD testing and testing for urinary tract infection. If pain gets worse or does not resolve, get a testicular ultrasound or consult a urologist.

Watch it: A sexually transmitted disease is unlikely to cause only mild pain only in the testis or epididymis. If this gets cry intense or lasts more than two weeks, get seen. If there is a mass, get seen at once.
