Is there any scientific evidence in favor of combining cymbalta (duloxetine) with lexapro?

No: No, and this combination could be unsafe. One of the two agents should be the primary med for targeting anxiety or mood symptoms. Often people will be on both briefly during a cross-taper from one to the other of these two meds.
