Mucous in throat: This could be related to nasal postnasal drainage into the throat or just mucous accumulating in the throat. Issues that can affect this include allergies, non-allergic rhinitis, dehydration-not enough water, drying medications that you may take, or reflux laryngopharyngitis to name a few. Use nasal saline, gargle with salt water, and increase water intake. Try guaifenesin OTC. See ENT for help.
