Mucous in throat: You could gargle with warm saltwater you could have either allergies or reflux especially if you have an acid taste in your mouth acid taste associates with reflux. Try an over the counter antiacid and see if helps. You could even try mucinex (guaifenesin). This will thin the secretions. Good luck.
