A member asked:

If doctors tested for corn pollen would they have tested on corn as well? if doctors test for corn pollen does that mean they also tested for corn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergy testing?: Probably not. Corn is what you eat, as in corn-on-the-cob. Being allergic to corn would be a food allergy. Pollen is the stuff that's blown around by the wind, and thus would be a respiratory allergen. A test for corn pollen is unlikely to be linked to an allergy test panel for food allergens like corn.
