It's moot: There are a variety of claims and counter-claims about subtyping of LDL's, including some conspiracy talk ("What Your Doctor Isn't Telling You...") Most pathologists doubt the value of these pricey tests and what are you going to do with the information? The risk is not really clear, and you'll want to pursue a healthy lifestyle and manage your coronary risk factors in any case. I wouldn't worry.
