My sis took a1c at a clinic it was 6.1 next day took a1c it was sent out to a lab it was 6.4 before tests it was 6.2 is that normal ?

6.1- 6.4: Those values are at or nearly above the norm and needs to be adjusted soon. Does your sister have type 1 diabetes or type 2? Type 1 is seen most often early in life while type 2 is more common in older folks. Forget the numbers for now. Have her check her blood sugar on one morning and again the next night and keep going that way till her blood sugar levels are within the normal range.
