HSV blood test: It can be as soon as 3 weeks, but sometimes up to 12 weeks. If you were possibly exposed and want reassurance you were not infected, it's best to wait at least 12 weeks. If actual symptoms very typical of new HSV, get tested ASAP and again after 12 weeks -- looking for negative becoming positive.
