Ortho evaluation now: Seek evaluation form an orthopaedic surgeon who can evaluate and treat the cartilage lesion to the ankle articular surface. Surgical treatment options include arthroscopic debridement as well as cartilage restoration surgery.

Surgery: OCD lesions are common in athletes and those with post-traumatic injuries. The best treatment in my opinion is to have an arthroscopic procedure done to remove damaged cartilage and to drill the lesion or replace the cartilage/bone depending on the extent of the injury. A foot and ankle surgeon is highly recommended.
