Depends: The type and extent of injury will dictate the treatment, as well as the length of symptoms. This diagnosis usually requires an MRI exam to accurately assess the extent and nature of injury. If your provider has ordered an MRI they should advise on treatment. Usually exercise is restricted to non weight bearing range of motion, but that will depend on an atomic location of injury
