A member asked:

What is the path that blood takes through the heart?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 pumps in series: Blood enters the right atrium and passes thru the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle. This beats and pushes the blood thru the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary arteries and into the lung. Oxygen is put into the blood which returns to the left atrium thru the pulmonary veins. The blood leaves the left atrium thru the mitral valve into the left ventricle which pushes it thru the aortic valve.
