A member asked:

How long does it take viral pericarditis w/ pericardial effusion to go away. i'm taking .6 mg colchicine 1 daily and 200 mg ibuprofen 3x day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pericarditis: There is no firm time frame for resolution of this diagnosis. Most however will be significantly improved by a four to six week period. Some cases take longer and recurrence is not rare.
