Poorly defined: It may not even be true. Over the past two decades, there's been much discussion about why the public / diet advisors believe this. There was talk of saturated fats reducing LDL-receptor mediated clearance of LDL's, or saturated fats making LDL receptors less abundant. I tried following this for a while and it never got settled. I remain skeptical.
