A member asked:

How does saturated fat raise cholesterol levels and mono/poly-unsaturated fat not suppose to?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The body can make it: The body can make the saturated fat, but there are certain lipids that has to be ingested with food because the body cannot make it. For those that the body can make, any extra amount ingested with food will start to accumulate and building up the levels.
