A member asked:

I've been diagnosed with nash. should i avoid cholesterol and saturated fats?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fatty Liver: Nash, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a risk factor for heart disease, and in addition is suggestive of either obesity, pre-diabetes or a constellation of risk factors called metabolic syndrome. If you have been diagnosed with nash, you need an evaluation of your lipid profile, weight, blood sugar status and blood pressure. If needed , statin medications should be used, not avoided see a doc.
