My thyroid test is due, would my viral cough effect my test results?

Euthyroid sick.: There is a condition called euthyroid sick syndrome, wherein a process in another part of the body generates a response by the thyroid, thereby affecting temporarily the hormonal output of the thyroid gland. This could make your thyroid hormone levels appear abnormal on a coincident blood test. May be better to wait until you're feeling better to get that blood test.

Ive been getting ill on and off since April 2020. Usually with - headaches, sore throat, muscle aches and pains, mucous cough. The most recent times it has been sore throat, sore neck and mild cough. Is this likely to be viral? Negative for Covid?
