Euthyroid sick.: There is a condition called euthyroid sick syndrome, wherein a process in another part of the body generates a response by the thyroid, thereby affecting temporarily the hormonal output of the thyroid gland. This could make your thyroid hormone levels appear abnormal on a coincident blood test. May be better to wait until you're feeling better to get that blood test.
