A member asked:

I went to the doctor and she said i had a upper respiratory tract infection. i was wondering if it was normal for the symptoms of phlegm and tightness in chest to come back soon ?

Depends on Tx.: Upper respiratory infections tend to be viral in origin, and therefore resolve on their own even without treatment. Recurrence could mean that it's simply not over yet, or that you acquired another infection, or that it's not truly a viral URI. You may need a re-evaluation.
