A member asked:

Is it abnormal to feel a little pain or sting inside, up top as soon as i insert a tampon -- it goes away after that? could isotretinoin be the cause?

This is abnormal: It is abnormal to feel pain or stinging with a tampon insertion. It can be from vaginal dryness, infection, or injury. If you are on isotretinoin this can cause dryness in mucosal areas like the mouth and vagina, so it's possible that isotretinoin is playing a role in your situation.
