Cradle cap: Cradle cap can be treated with selsum or head and shoulders. A mild salicylate compound may work if not. All the best.

Probably safe but ho: Usually cradle cap is pretty much confined to scalp so can treat with mineral oil soak and then just brushing it off. Paraffin may be too warm for your infant's comfort.

Not best: There are several useful therapies. Apply ketoconazole [Nizoral] or 3% salicylic acid shampoo to wet scalp and leave on for an hour before washing. Stings in eyes. Occasional application of hydrocortisone and/or miconazole [ketoconazole, clotrimazole] helps. For persistent problem see a dermatologist.
