NO: Birth control pills do not cause infertiltiy. The most common cause of infertility is a sexually transmitted chlamydia infection--so make sure all partners are screened. The pill does not protect against STI. If you have had issues with irregular periods, and take the pill to regulate them, then you may go back to that when you stop the pill, and the irregularity can cause some fertility issues
