Sure: I don't think there is any absolute conversion, but this seems like a pretty reasonable change in medications. It may be that your doctor is trying to get better control of your blood pressure? Atenolol, an older drug, may be much more affordable. Anyway ask the person who prescribed it what they were thinking. Hope the new drug works great for you and you feel healthy.
