Use bicep cuff: Bicep/arm cuffs tend to be more accurate than wrist versions. There's no single best brand altho you can check out http://goo.gl/XJGrnf & http://goo.gl/pf4DkL for some recommendations. Best advice is to measure after at least 5min sitting w/feet flat on floor at rest. Average 3 readings 5min apart. Then bring your BP monitor to your FamilyDoc to compare to his/her monitor w/o changing position btw
