A member asked:

My 18mo son is always on the lower end of percentiles, except head circumference. is this an indication of his future height and weight?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: The best predictor of how a male is growing and where they will end up is their parents. Final height is expected to be the average height of the parents plus 2.5 inches. Body frame and muscularity also tracks as a blend of both parents, with more features contributed by the parent of the same sex.Since I do not have any details, the answer must remain very general.
